Anything to do in Dallas or Houston?
Discussion
Hi folks, some advice please...
I am going to Mexico with work next week, and because its half term the flights are a little steep... it has been agreed I can stay a few extra night so the return flight is cheaper.
I would rather not stay in Mexico (Monterrey), so I was thinking one of the cities that is on the connection list. Either Dallas or Houston.
So the question is... which of these would provide me with something to see and do for a weekend?

To be honest not a huge amount to do. If you like space & the like a day at Johnson Space Centre is well worth a visit. You'll be amazed just how small those early space craft were.
If shopping is your thing try the Galleria, you can be lost in there for a day! But leave your credit card behind!
Get down Richmond for the best nightlife. Bars, restaurants, titty bars galore.

Other threads suggest avoiding Houston and heading for San Antonio or Austin? I think they sound a little better...?
