LastMinute.com Hotel Search
Discussion
What on Earth have they done? It used to be a great little tool for hotel searches, I could hit the Advanced Search button and be able to choose by Star Rating, Proximity to major attractions or area, then by price.
For example, for a standard trip up to London I would usually choose:
4 star or better
within 3k of Covent Garden
Arranged by price
Pick the cheapest decent looking one, Bob's your Uncle.
Now the Advanced Search function has disappeared (as confirmed by the operative on the phone - "We have removed that feature Sir..." I can EITHER search by star rating, OR proximity to a place, OR price. What a pile of arse. All the 5 star places are pretty expensive, the ones near to any option they have are all crap, and the cheapest ones are all near Gatwick, which isn't even in f
king London.
Does anyone know of a better site to search for a hotel in Central London for tomorrow night? I have tried Expedia as well, and that just keeps recommending me some place called the Taj Palace or a £30 B&B in Crawley. Which isn't in London either.

Booked via www.expedia.co.uk in the end - got a great deal at the Park Lane Sheraton. Yah boo sucks to the new lastminute.com!
