Are most Fire Engines still red?

Seeing the Fire Engines on the "Pylon" Thread made me wonder if fire engines are still generally red.

Around our way (Grampian) they changed to white a long time ago inline with the other emergency services.

I'd kind of assumed red fire engines were the same as red telephone boxes.

The odd one crops up now & then that haven't been replaced.

being slowly phased to white, red is apparently hard to see at night

the fact that they're generally off somewhere in a hurry with flashing lights and a fk off horn makes them hard to spot

Yeah I never got that, back home in Leicester they were always red, but now I've moved to Aberdeen they're white. And I see them practically every day as they decide to go past our flat sirens blaring pretty much constantly
