I think it would be a great move. Two different driving styles and i think the sponsors would find them very marketable. Don't be silly. McLaren choose who they want to drive. If that choice of driver makes the marketing life of a sponsor a little easier, than great. McLaren don't need or ask for pay drivers and have the luxury of going for whovever they think will do the best job. elster said:

Ideally, with the car setup being so critical, I think you need two similar drivers so it's only setup variations that are needed rather than two almost completely different cars.

Why is the fact they have different driving styles an issue?From a manufacturers point of view is there not some merit to having two drivers of different styles? If done correctly will one not pick up points at the tracks where the other's style doesn't suit and vice-versa? Are Mclaren mroe interested in the constructors title or the drivers championship?
I think this could even be on. What with the Crap JB (and the rest of the team) are going to go through in next few weeks at Brawn on pay. I see him in another team (and there aren't many) unless he want to really drive for (comparitive!) Peanuts.
LH is a very different type of driver and bothe get the job done. There setup would be miles different - could the team build car identical cars and then go radically different ways on setup for Mr Ballsy to the Wall, and MR Smooth.
I recon it would be great and JB would not get stuffed - I think it would be very close (ala when FA was there).
Unfortunately I see JB having to stay put and KR getting the other seat (as long as Kov is told to piss right off).
