Delivered a parcel wrong address

Simple task in theory.

Just had a parcel delivered, so I signed for it, delivery driver fecked off.

Opening the parcel, I noticed it has two address, one is our address which is what the parcel company has stuck on, the other is for someone else a similar address.

Opened it up, and its a fk load of angling supplies, lead weight and float kits as far as I can gather, look at the invoice, not for us, so I google the address, and apparently this company is next door to us.

Next door to us is a country side team not angling supplies, they are council based country side cleaner upperers.

The only difference between our address and the one on the parcel is our address is unit 1g, the address on the parcel is unit 10
Our address is something business park
Their address is over there business park

So we rang up the people who shipped it, asking simply for some info on where this company is, as we cant find them

Half an hour later after explaining it several times, they have given us a fax number.


How hard, seriously?


Next question is what do I do with a box of angling supplies, I dont want them, someones paid for them, I aint paying to ship them back to the company that sent it, weighs a fking tonne as its mostly lead weight

I'd say delivering parcels is a tad eaiser than deciphering your garbled nonsense.

I have to admit I too have no idea what all that means. I got lost after you said you googled the other address and it's a company next door. So surely thats it solved then or have I missed something?

Thats what I thought. But anyway tell the supplier to come and get them and keep them safe for 14days. If they don't get collected flog them/give them away.

After repeated calls to there fax no I they finally answered, and as the person who mentioned them being next door, they aint next door, hes 10 miles down the road, and coming to pick it up tommorrow

Can't quite decipher your post, but looks like it's a legit delivery and some numbnuts at the courier has sent it to the wrong business park, then the driver has delivered it to the closest address they can find in your park.

Seeing as there is therefore no audit trail of where it was actualy delivered to, and no proof that delivery was actually made (other than a no-doubt illegible signature), may I be the first to congratulate you as the proud owner of some brand-new fishing gear which may (or may not) be finding its way onto ebay shortly..

Either phone the courier and tell them its not meant for you and they should collect it or phone the shipper and tell them the same, if they are reputable then they will arrange for the courier to collect and RTS
