So where to look for Info
Discussion
I am about to buy my first, what I would call "expensive" watch. Before I do I would like to know where to look to get the info I need to make an educated decision. Obviously here is one place, but I assume there are many other foruns that provide the uneducated with info to help them make an informed decision. Any suggestions ?
Next decision is what watch. Have been looking at Breitling, specifically the B1, until they stopped making it, which also gives you an idea of the price range I am aiming at £2-3K
My likes are usually around the Divers/Military style of watch. Whilst Breitling was my oringal favourite, that has since taken a knock from the information I have so far managed to obtain, which seems to indicate that spending that much on an electronic watch is ludicrous.
So....Any sugestions greatly appreciated, either Forums or Watches.

I was just looking at the Friday thread, some great pieces; watchuseek is another forum - they have a good list of maker forums which are all pretty good to graze through.
If you're looking for a mil/diver style I'd have a look through Sinn U series or the more traditional 1xx, or the more modern style of the 6xx, 7xx &
8xx. If it's a daily wearer the case hardening and other tech may be of interest.
Similarly, Fortis, Damasko, Tutima do good ones. Left field there are Ones like Longines hydroquest & Benarus Moray, classics include Rolex Sub, IWC aquatimers and Omega Planet Oceans.
Not an exhaustive list but some ideas and reference points. Happy researching!
