Suprisingly i have a a question??

when is the next track day in the south east (preferably as i live surrey hants borders) that has noise testing equipment as i need to get my car noise checked before i book in on a track day as i belive i could well be over the limits as anyone who knows been out on a hoon with me will know my car is far from quiet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks guys

i thought about getting my own but thought it was a bit of a waste really as on track days i am presuming it dont really matter what my meter reads its all about what the meter at the track reads.

Had similar problem with air rifle limits, my meter was reading below limit, police balistics meter was above limit!! luckily my gunsmith got me out of a very sticky situation as he has records of me regularly getting my gun checked and tuned.

Anyone got a map of where all the circuits are???

I guess Thruxton and Goodwood are in your neck of the woods? If so, give them a call - both circuits are pretty hot on the noise levels (especially Thruxton I believe) so you may be able to pop along when they're running a day. Otherwise I think Motorsport Vision (Brands closest to you?) have a noise test on most of the days they run so give them a call as well, but they're a bit more of trek for you.

Bear in mind there is no guarantee that the result at one track on one day will be representative of the result at a different track on a different day ... my car has recorded 102 and 88 on different days with no changes/mods between.

Go along to any motorsport-events.com day and they will happily do a test for you. But it is true to say that the most vital nut in the whole noise testing procedure is the one holding the meter. smile

Thanks all i totally forgot about goodwood and it not too far away! neither is thruxton.

I got a sneeky susupision that mine is gonna be over, but i wanna know by how much, as mine was competing for noise space with a tvr cerbera with tuned exhaust on a previous hoon. so i know she loud.
