Ive just bought a Seiko SKX007 diver to add to my O. Monster. Now I think I need a very accurate clock / watch to adjust all the automatics. What could be more accurate than an atomic watch ( or clock). It needs to be multiband 6 to accept the signal from China ( I live in Hong Kong).

Which G - shocks come with multiband 6, solar would be nice( how long does this last? - waterproofness if you dont need to take the back off to change the battery). Prefer standard black plastic versions.

Any casio range summaries sites?
My limited knowledge of G - shocks - which I want to increase:-
Frogman - adds tide data,
Mudman - better build quality, nicer buttons
Raysman?
Gulfman - air pressure/ barometric data

For G shock info try

http://www.g-peopleland.com/main.htm
http://forums.watchuseek.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17

And for a nice range of ones you can't readily by in europe
http://www.seiyajapan.com/

The G shock range is huge and baffling. All the ones you mention are part of the Master of G range, although the Raysman is an obsolete model. Master of G are the hardcore utilitarian end of the range, and the best in my view.

Quick summary of the current Master of G range:

Frogman - pukka diver's watch. New model is 6 band atomic and solar. The Daddy!

Riseman - Altitude, pressure and temperature. Solar and atomic

Mudman - Rubberised buttons to be mud proof.

Gulfman - Tidegraph and titanium back. the atomic ones don't have tide function.

There a literally hundreds of other variants. Avoid Baby G, unless you're a girl.

Avoid Sayia unless you want to pay three times the cost of the watch. I can never get over how shockingly expensive that site is. The same watches he sells can be found FAR cheaper just about everywhere else on the net.

The watch that suits your need the best is the "Rally" Mudman. Atomic, solar and one of the "Masters" range. Try looking at somewhere like www.tiktox.com or even go for a registered shop on ebay. If that one doesn't grab your fancy your next choice would be the atomic Gulfman (have a look for the "men in Matt black" range that has just launched in Japan... very nice indeed.

The new Atomic frog may be the "daddy" but it's around 700euro's, so it's also a stupid fking price.

Thanks!!
Wow, a whole G shock forum !

So the masters range are all a bit better made. I dont think I "need" any data on the tides, temp , air pressure, or that it needs to be a diver ( tested to 200m) watch, but, if its only another 30 pounds or so, then so what....
I'll check out the links.
