replacement dash for 400se

having bought my 400se off ebay and completed most of the things that needed to be done to bring it up to a reasonable standard the one outstanding jobs to do was i that needed a replacement dash (as the previous our had removed the wood veneer with the intention of getting it completed and never did)
i have found a company to complete the work using the latest cnc machine using the matching wood effect per-finished, ready to stick on (all 3 parts)
my problem is that the cost is £500 quid but i get 10 sets because of the sheet size
if i get interest from 9 others it will only cost us £50 each (then i would have to post them so a small charge)

Could be interested in a set for my 400SE, depends on when you need the £££££, assuming they are all the same which would mean the dash doesn't suffer for TVR tolerance problems would be a bugger if the holes didn't line up.

the must be more 400se needing a new dash

currently i plan to ask for samples so you all can see the veneer planned to be used

I want to ensure you will be happy with your purchase , I will be collecting some samples tomorrow ,not enough to post to everyone so we will have to forwarded them to each other, if thats ok.

Is the dash plus the mitten box and the bit round the speed thing the same as the 450?

sorry jill450se i don't think they are the same , the heater controls seem to be in the centre not to one side like the 400

The 450SE & the 400SE have the same dash...BUT. Some are a mirror image of each other so be carefull. I'll just go & dig out some examples.

my heater controls are on the the right/ drivers side, not sure if its a problem and if this small change would cause them any problems in making both out of the same run .

Hi Stephen its Stu and Jo from sunny Morecambe.
Spoke last week regarding dash and have just realised that our dash is the mirror image of yours.
Just thought that something standard as a dash would be the same on all 400se
Can the veneer be polished both sides and so accommodate more wedges?
If this can't be done I will still have 1 to try and finish myself, worth a pop at £50 but not at a £100.

my 400se has the heater controls to the passenger side and the mirror controls to the driver's side. If it becomes a problem with 2 versions - is there enough people (ie 20) to have 2 runs made(1 heater to the left, 1 heater to the right)?
