GRRC membership 2010.....
Discussion
Also you can go to the GRRC Ball. I have been checking and I am sure its wrong, but the ticket is £160 per person?
Anyone been, and is it really that much just to get in?
I must admit I probably wont renew as its a lot of money, which only allows you to spend a lot more on the events. If you do have a couple of grand to spend on all the (very good) events as a member then fine.

Hoping to join myself but cannot afford the Henley stripped blazer, yellow cord trousers and pink shirt
with silk neck scarf and shiny brown brothel creepers. And all becaue I want a little cardbourd badge on a piece of green string.
Oops posted twice I got so excited!

Yes it is 160 quid a head for the Christmas ball. However that is buttons to some of the people who use it as an excuse for some high end corporate schmoozing. It is quite an event though, I thoroughly enjoy the Goodwood parties and I know I can spend a lot more than that on a night out and not have such a good time.Anyone been, and is it really that much just to get in?

Hi, this is my first posting on Pistonheads (I only joined this afternoon) and as a GRRC member i would say to save the £160 and go to the Kennels for a three course meal for £26.50 each, in a much nicer, more convivial atmosphere, with people you actually like. Have renewed membership, bought Revival tickets and grandstand and thoroughly enjoy it. However I guessing there is a lot to Pistonheads aswell so looking forward to spending time here too.

Not sure if I'm being thick, but your post utterly confuses me.Are you saying don't join the GRRC and go to the Kennels instead? Bearing in mind that the Kennels are only open to people who are a member of one of the Goodwood membership clubs, such as GRRC, Aero Club, Horseracing etc.
Or are you saying do join and go to the Kennels as well?
Sorry Stephanie, what I was trying to say was go to the Kennels as opposedto going to the GRRC christmas dinner which at £160 is a lot, especially as most people are there to talk business in a corporate type way. I love being a member of the GRRC and hope to get a lot out of Pistonheads too!
