Hi all, Ive got a coolant leak (blue watery fluid) from my 06 egear Gallardo. I notice it when I reverse the car out of the garage, there is a small puddle of coolant dead centre of the car, about 2/3 of the way length ways from the front or somewhere near the bulkhead/front of the engine. The car isnt overheating and the coolant level seems fine. Should I be worried or seek further investigation?

I remember my previous Porsche 996's and 997's ocassionally did this.

Is it definitely coolant? Could it be the fluid from the washer bottle? (which is apparently quite common as well)

The easiest way to decide which is to taste if.

Get a tiny amount on the tip of your finger and taste it. If it's very very sugary and sweet, it's antifreeze.

washer bottle is located near the nsf wheel, unless the car's got the very rare rear wash/wipe option biggrin

aircon condenser run off? common "problem" on my Noble as it used to leave a puddle on garage floor but never seen it on the Galardo.

Thanks for the replies guys... would the aircon condenser run off be blue in colour? or just clear fluid? I dont think its washer fluid as this usually smells quite pungent and this has no odour to it. I have to say I havent tasted it yet! I'll give it the taste test tomorrow.

if it's bright blue, it's coolant

Note to self: stop speed-reading posts. I saw the word "front" and missed the rest of it..
