hpi check do they need the vin?

Afternoon,

I have a few potential buyers for my 335d, one who has come via autotrader wants the reg no (which is on the advert) and the vin, for an hpi checl.

I thought they only needed the reg no....

Should I worry?

I do not see any harm, all the information is availablke to him anyway when he does the Hpi.
