Booked up for a very cheap week boarding in January in Boroverts staying next to the slopes (50m) and even get free lift pass and ski carriage anyone been? It cant be that bad can it?

Went 5 years ago or so over New Year - not enough snow and half the runs were closed by the mafia for unpaid dues.

The snow doesn't normally arrive until January because it's so far south, and the main olympic run was closed.

Having said that it was well set up for such a poor country, night life was adequate.

One big problem is there are only 4 airports in Bulgaria, Sofia and Plovdiv are often closed by fog, meaning a 7 hour trek to/from Burgas on the coast is necessary.

You might be lucky, you might not...
