speed camera query through the M62 roadworks

both sides of the road, 25 - 27 poles are up, no cameras though. Signs attached to the poles saying camera not in use.
i go over the 62 both ways everyday.
going to be a nightmare for the rest of this year, and most of next by the sounds of things.
The M1 isn't much better as they're sticking solid walls in the middle of the carrigeway.

they're doing to solid wall thing pretty much everywhere. no idea why - i thought the steel ones are supposedly the safest? i go over the 62 both ways everyday.

I went on the M62 between the M606 and M1 in both directions a few weeks back and there were "50" signs on both sides but everyone was doing about 70. I haven't had anything through yet!
I've been ignoring them, they are just the roadwork style signs, yellow with a black border.No official speed signs - circle with a red edge.
however once the cameras get stuck on top of the poles in the next couple of weeks it'll be a steady 50 all the way.
(can someone advise on the legality of the yellow speed signs?)
There have been some yellow signs up for a while I think they have been doing some gardening work at the side of the motorway for a long time.
I would guess the solid wall thing is because there have been a couple of instances over the last couple of years where lorries have gone through the central reservation onto the opposite carriageway causing horrendous accidents.

its a big stretch, i feel sorry for anyone who has to commute through there at rush hr.
The prospect doesn't thrill me, but in reality it may ease the flow, instead of of the usual 70mph-10mph-60mph-5mph etc along that stretch. I drive frequently through the 13 mile stretch of M1 SPECS near Derby and its usually the longest period of constant speed I get down the M1.
Just to bump this..
Driving to Birstall today from the M1 there is still the yellow signs and yellow poles, some had no cameras on, others had some really small cameras on not like i've seen before! what's the score with these? people were going through at 70ish (and me at 60 untill i realised!!!)
Any ideas? don't want a nasty letter through!

oh dear. when does this start and whats the plan? its rare i need to trek over to mcr these days but each time i do i want to die. Joy.
So not sure, maybe these roadworks are just for the barrier building in the centre?

"The major works get under way on December 7 from Junction 25 (Brighouse) to Junction 28 (Tingley). The Highways Agency are replacing the central reservation and a 50mph speed limit will be in place 24 hours a day up until March 2010."

By the way, also read this... "A Highways Agency spokesman said: “During 2006 two workers were killed and 19 seriously injured in the course of their work on Highways Agency roads. For the safety of all road users and roadworkers, slow down when you are approaching roadworks”.
So, thinking of the rectangular max 50 speed signs that are currently up, maybe we should all slow down even when there isn't a danger of getting caught by speed cameras. Have some respect for these guys!
