Chicken kebabs are always easy for a BBQ. Marinade lumps of chicken breast (1" cube or smaller) in the sauce of your choice, then alternate on squewers with lumps of bell pepper, mushrooms, courgettes, onion, etc.

If you're planning some bits to be curried then chicken tikka or chicken chat are easy to do as small lumps of meat.

Garlic Chicken
Chicken
Equal amounts of oil and orange juice. Tons of garlic, bit of parsley.

As easy as that.

I have found it work best if you put the chicken in cling film and beat the bejaysus out of it first.

Another is honey lemon chicken

4 parts oil
4 parts orange juice
1 part lemon juice one part honey.

Always make these thin or else the honey burns before it is cooked. And remember the longer you them marinating is not always better. About six hours max in the fridge.

And for something special. It took me ages to perfect this.

Raw king prawns Dazco Pil Pil thumbup

Raw king prawns, if frozen, defrost first and try and get as much water out.

Olive oil, chopped garlic, and twice as many chilli flakes as you use garlic.

Mix together and leave covered in the fridge at least overnight.

When it is time to cook get your pan lovely and hot, pour some of the oil mixture that houses the prawns into the hot pan.

Wait until the oil is very hot and throw about eight prawns in. The reason you put no more in is because by the time you have finished turning the eighth prawn the first one you turned is ready to come out.

Do not overcook, as soon as you see them turning pink on the bottom get ready to turn them.
Take them out and place in a small dish then pour the oil over them. The garlic and chilli will be burnt but amazingly adds to the taste. Eat up prawns and mop up oil with fresh crusty bread.

Best thing ever.

It's not a good cut of meat, but it is rather childishly entertaining - MUMMIES.

Hot dog sausages
Puff pastry

cut thin strips of the puff pastry, wrap around sausage, stopping before you get to the top, make a little cap leaving a space for 'eyes' and bake in the oven for 20 mins ish.

Squeezy mustard etc can be used to dot the eyes.

I couldn't believe how quickly these disappeared at last year's party.
