Go contact XJSJohn and be prepared for an eye opening experience... I will point him in the direction of this.

Also get him to show you the funky blue porker he has... lovely motor...

Must try are the Sunday champagne brunches. Fullerton for the tradition and Equinox for the view. Dempsey Hill has a lot of places to eat. If you're into experimental and you're feeling rich, try the Tipling Club.
I really like a place called Little Bali for the location and the platters are pretty good.
In general, be prepared for some of the most horendously overpriced steak you can imagine, but some good stuff about.
I prefered just to eat in the local places really. Laksa and Roti Prata with Tiger kept me alive for 18 months and cheap too, but bear in mind that quality and cleanliness will vary quite a lot from place to place.
try: www.hungrygowhere.com/
Eating is like a national hobby so you can find whatever you want really.

The Park Palace is good (inside the Grand Park Plaza Hotel, Coleman Street, City Hall)

I can highly recommend the Barbecue Combination platter... duck, pork and chicken... absolutely delicious!

Also, if you're into good curry...

Good mix of decent Indian cuisine, served on banana leaves smile I went to the one in the Suntec City Mall, it was outstanding.

Just got back from Reddot in Dempsey hill, was really cool and well chilled. Had a couple of Monster green beers and some munchies.

Cheers for the replies so far (even the guy that likes noodles). Seems like there is plenty of places to try, and different food types (Fish head curry, chilli crab, Laksa, Megorane (sp))

All good, on a mission to avoid western chains (subway, mcdonalds, starbucks) so wish me luck

Equinox, at the very top of the Swissotel The Stamford.

You can see Indonesia, Malaysia and all of the Singapore CBD from the 70th floor

hang the expense, live the dream.
