Anyone else done any filming? Whats the best method of getting the engine sound? I made this with a basic camcorder, I have got a bullet cam, but am waiting for a replacement mic. I find with the windows open you get alot of wind noise, and with them closed you dont get the full sound of the engine.

I would love to have a pic of her myself, but the only way I could have got one is by overtaking her spinning the car around and sticking it in reverse. On a motorway that may be a little tricky. She was blonde and very fit.

The blue lights were coming from an ambulance.

It was a very boring clip really, just my first experiment.

thanks Gring. As I haven't driven a G I find it hard to judge what RPM you are at and how fast the car actually is.......nice sound though! Did you have the window(s) throughout? If not, it sounds almost as noisy as my GT3 inside (but difficult to compare using a video clip ofc).

I wasnt going full pelt, wasnt taking the revs to the max or anything, as there were a couple of other cars around and I never trust others not to just switch lanes without warning, I was going about 3/5 of the cars top speed,(didnt really want to put speeds in) the car gets there without really even trying, within a blink of an eye.
I had the drivers side window partially open. When you take the revs higher the engine really screams, but as I said the conditions wernt really right. Might give that one a go another time.

Thanks Gring - don't feel that I am egging you on or anything - I was just curious - showing restraint is mature and appropriate.

Dont! I have been trying to convince myself that I dont.

How much was yours fitted Justin?

Is the car noisy at low revs? I quite like the car being quiet, just the sound of the fans, until you put your foot down a little. But I do agree, it could do with a little amplification.

Look forward to seeing your video when you do it.

Mature and appropriate, my wife would piss herself laughing if she read that directed at me!

I found a nearly new one so paid a lot less than a new system. Pretty chuffed.

Start up is loud, once warm though its only slightly louder than normal. The way it should be. Standard is FAR too quiet IMO. When pushing on though its like a symphony!
