Certina and/or Favre Leuba watches...Any good?
Discussion
Remember I showed you this :

It's far too small, and it started gaining 10 minutes a day. I took the back off to see if I could adjust it and a small bit of metal fell out. I'm not overly technical but small bits of metal shouldn't fall out.
The ones like this on ebay are a billion miles away in India typically so not worth sending back. I've obviously had my fingers burned so I'm a bit bitter !
If it's new ones you're looking at I understand they are only the same company by name, but I'm willing to be corrected.

Are the Favre Leuba watches cheap and have their own movements? Even if they're crap (bits falling out, etc.) then sounds like a fun project for me, rather than pull yet another ETA 2824 or 2836 to bits (no, I don't dare attempt rebuilding a 7750 yet - certainly not the only real one I have (in the Sinn) and the replica made by Liaoning Watch isn't *that* cheap either)

I have a couple of Favre Leuba watches. My father bought it new in the 70s, I also bought a gold one from ebay for spare parts.
I do need to get it serviced and polished plus the strap mech has snapped so I need that attended to.
But I like it a lot. A nice movement, keeps good time and I think it looks great.
