How can I receive BBC HD?

Hey guys

As terestrial is now going HD (for free aparently) how can I receive the signal? I have a standard sky package so have no HD decoder but if I were to purchase a sky HD box and just not pay sky the extra £10 a month for HD would that still let me watch the free HD channels?
