need some help!!!

hi every1. right ive just put a new set of leads on a 2004 focus st170. now its runing lumpy and pops and bangs like its runing on 3. ive checked for spark all 4 spark. ive even put a new coil pack on. when i took it up the road there was go init plus it was popping and banging like a gooden and a realy strong eggy smell coming in the car.evey person i have spoken to said i must hav the leads the wrong way round but i know there not. ive even put the old leads back on and still no joy. someone said to me that the cat it shot but i cant beleive that the cat could corse this mount of trouble. please help anyone!!!

If the leads are deffo OK(order wise???) then look for any vac houses off/split.

The eggy smell will be the catalyst failing to cope with the unburned petrol and giving off sulphur fumes. I would get the car to someone who can read the engine management faults and go from there - there are home tune-up people who will come out to your car with their equipment rather than having to drive to a Ford dealer. If it isn't HT wires or vacuum hoses, it might be that a sensor connector has got some moisture in or come adrift. It could be that the catalyst oxygen sensor has failed and it is overfuelling. Or even an injector that is leaving fuel.
