Right, I've just been ringing round for an insurance quote - easy you might say, yes the same thought as me, erm no... When asked what the car is (by the way, so far so good at this stage and all pretty straight forward - its on the data base from the reg number etc) the next question to follow is, is it an import? Well obviously it is but as soon I try to explain that it is Australian but was imported by GM/Vauxhall it really seem to confuse the FcensoredK out the other end of the line. I started off with one company and after being transferred 6 times to specialist departments I'm still quote-less and this particular company will have to call back tomorrow.... Shall I just stay with my current insurance company and say FcensoredK it? Anybody here had this problem? tumbleweed

it's not technically an import though is it?

if you'd bought it in Australia and shipped it over yourself then it would be.

a bit like me saying my Golf is an import because it was made in Germany.

it's a uk sourced and supplied car i believe

Haven't had that exact problem - normaly ask if its a van.

Its registered as a Vauxhall so no, its not an import.

Try it when it is an import and on the insurance vehicle register, but the register is wrong and not up to date.

My '06 ('07MY) VE LS2 GTS - is insured as a '06 VTII GTS - I think the VTII stopped in 2001, VY to 2004, VZ to 2006, then the VE's since 2006 ? bangheadheadache
