Good quality leather sofa?

Seriously though bought mine from Arighi Bianchi in Macclesfield. upmarket place with reasonable prices. (just dont ask about the Roman Soldier and Batman, trust me)
Although browsing recently i was impressed with some of the stuff at Harveys although i cant comment on longetivity as i've never bought from there.
I wouldn't under any circumstances by from DFS though, my Sister made the mistake of that and (wrongly) thought by buying a more expensive suite the quality would be better, she spent over 2k and its now donald ducked.

Take a look at Furniture Village, was the best place I found after seeing the hideous ranges in most of the other large stores. They are not cheap, so wait till they've a sale on, bought a 3 and a 2 seater, regular price was about £1600, paid about £750.
I have seen a 3+2 set in FV which I really like the look and feel of, but wasn't sure whether their stuff stands up to the test of time. They do have a sale at present and at £800 it seems a good price.Bought ours from M&S. You need to hang on a bit till the 50% deals are kicking about but then there are bargains to be had. We have a cheapo bucket chair from there in leather (all others are fabric) and it's actually superb quality. None of that Hyundai Lantra-esqe stuff that you get from World of Leather etc

Two people have mentioned Natuzzi. I'm planning a new scheme for my living room and drop into various showrooms with a digital compact to capture any nice ideas I see. Until I went to Natuzzi this had been fine with everybody.
When I got there, the salesman (who I presume was the manager as he was the only person there) was busy on the phone so I wandered upstairs, found a suite I quite liked and took a couple of snaps for the record. Eventually the manager wheezed his way upstairs and I told him I was looking for ideas for my new living room, and taking the odd snap if I saw something good. He replied that he didn't know me and that I couldn't take photos in his store as I might be spying for the Chinese. He was entirely serious. He then went on to tell me how fantastic their designs are, and how a company in Manchester almost copied their stuff and how Natuzzi sued them and almost bankrupted them. He then said that if Natuzzi sent him a wrong item, they made him pay for it and if he didn't, they'd stop supplying him.
At the door, I told him that even if Natuzzi made the perfect sofa that fitted my needs exactly, I wouldn't buy it - because they were such a bunch of unpleasant, pompous, arrogant, up-their-own-arse people.

What - all of them? Or just that one arrogant w
The people we bought ours from were some of the friendliest and most professional salespeople we've ever dealt with (Leather Studio in Bedford).
They also sell through the larger House of Fraser stores so why not try there instead?

I want to replace our ageing fabric 3 seater sofa and chair with a good quality learher suite, possibly a 3 seater and 2 seater sofa.
Any recommendations where to buy?
Habitat: "Day's Forum", a timeless classic. We have the 3 and the 2, ash and cream leather - I think the current version has had a colour/wood change though.Any recommendations where to buy?

Yes, I agree that the man was the problem and that another branch could be fine. I got the impression it was a franchise operation. God knows why they let him represent the brand!

I got a 3 and 2 seater from DFS just over 6 months ago, the Leon type - both in natural leather.
Not cheap (on my wages anyway) but worth every penny. Though looking at them now, the price they're advertised for is about 30% more than I paid.

don't laugh. but don't rule out ebay. there are resellers of returned sofas on there, marketing at about 1/3 of retail. If you find something you like from a relatively mainstream range, it's worth a check to see what these guys are selling.
I got my suite from ebay for a total of 700 quid (three different sellers). If I had gone straight to a sofitalia retailer and ordered it I would have spent well over three big ones..... I'm very happy with the leather qulity BTW.
