to have my handbrake cable fixed?
Snapped towards the back I think - looks a nightmare to change and not something I am going to attempt myself
I would think the labour will be the problem
Anyone had this experience and what did they pay?

Cheers all

Its not actually as bad as it looks, need to remove the plate that bolts across the chassis members then remove the exhausts and cats the you should be able to fix the handbrake, shouldn't be more than about 3 hours work to a trained motor mechanic with the right gear.

If you can safely get the car high enough off the ground could be a DIY job with only basic tools.

Prop can stay on I would think. If the rear has gone then at least one wheel will need to come off along with the drum

Belly brace off
Exhasut and heat sheild
Offending side wheel and drum/disc
Slacken both internal adjusters
Disconnect cable inside drum
disconnect cable at joint above prop
Replace failed part
Slacken main cable tensioner
Re-set drum adjusters (both sides to be sure)
Set main adjuster to give correct handbrake travel.

I'd say 3 hours tops at a good garage plus parts.
