Transporting a car to Spain? Any recommendations?
Discussion
I'm looking at transporting a car down to Marbella next year, probably about May time, can anyone recommend any good companies to use?
I looked up these two, anyone have any thoughts on them:

Anchor and reputable and professional.
The best guys to use in my experience would be a company called advatech - speak to darren. Take great pride in what they do - tell him scott from A&J sent you.

If you need any details email me - I used to work in EU Car transport.
Please do not name and shame on PH.

Just drive it as has already been said, I do this trip a few times a year, Santander or Bilbao is only a days drive to Marbella or stop in Madrid 5hrs from Bilbao and overnight.I looked up these two, anyone have any thoughts on them:

I think that the P&O Ferry is now looking pretty tired and either needs a good refit or a new ferry.
Brittany Ferries from either Portsmouth or Plymouth to Santander is a much better ferry and foodwise is better.
Plus going down to Spain is overnight where as P&O Ferry is a 2 night trip.
Thanks for the help so far. I would love to drive down but just don't have the time at the moment, though I plan to do it at some point in the future.
Can anyone recommend any more companies who could transport normal cars down to Spain?
Thanks again

Advatech
or
Anchor
Not affiliated with either - work for the fire brigade.
Personally i would drive it, get the 22:00 ferry from dover appx £29 one way then just drive. i regularly drive to Seville and manage to get there by late evening driving a Passat Diesel i use almost 2 full tanks appx £120. so for less than £150 you are in the south of Spain and in less time than taking ferry to northern spain and driving cross country, doing the run from Calais the roads are faster if time is an issue although the Santander cross country route is very pretty it takes a good 9 hours. i did it sixteen years ago in a lotus pushing hard all the way. my cousin took dover calais with a white van and he was there three hours before me.
if you want to pay my return airfare Monarch appx £30 one way and an overnight hotel and make me an offer for my time i will drive it for you over a weekend

A Nottingham based company may not be of use as I don't know where the car is (Scotland I assume), but Heritage are very good and I'm sure they do international work.
