Nice car, but the author, Greg Kable, should be ashamed of the spelling mistakes and the mis-quoted power figure of the standard car. My mum knows they're 507 out the box....

"No plans for production..."

My arse; I'll put money on there being 50 last hurrah specials with an appropriately large price tag.

Surely they'd savemore than 50kg by ditching the rear seats, steel roof and electric front seats. I could see them losing more like 150kg doing all that, plus they could strip some sound proofing out and remove the heavy amp for the stereo - all you need is air-con and some way to set the eleventy-million engine/gearbox/suspension settings.

And yes, I would love one - let's see how much I can strip from an e60 M5 in Forza 3...

Exactly what I was thinking, how did they only strip 50kg by doing all that, surely it would be a fair bit more, the point of this negates the M5 as a super saloon though, would anyone buy one as a track only car?

Possibly not - Think what you could create from an E46 M3 with 'that' budget !!

Perhaps money-no-object die-hard collectors would see the limited run quickly out the doors as Regensburg though....
