Herring fillet recipe

Bought some Herring fillets last night. Anybody have any ideas as to what to do with them. Only really have basic cupboard stocks and a few herbs and spices.

Roasted pepper salad and crush boiled new potatos, butter and fresh parsley.
Job done.
