Thanks for restoring the credibilty of Track Days for me at least, a worn out old Git.
After the total garbage served up by a very large organiser, at BRANDS ON THE GP circuit recently, owning almost a monopoly on circuits in UK , who does NOT give a flying fig abt control of a day ,takes ur money and runs ............
Similar weather today , damp start , maybe people listened to the briefing today , 1 off all morning and another red for 5 mins later on ............ran through lunch very mixed bag, from Mosler to barely track acceptable kit ......whatever that means ................just thanks for a really well run day

I had a bad track day experience and I have read of some on here, so had assumed that track days were all badly run and no fun to attend. Being a cantankerous old person, I naturally paniced and assumed my track day enjoyment had come to an end.Baby Blue said:

The bad experience I had was at Brands Hatch. A day run by MSV where lots of people didn't listen to instructions, drove badly and spoiled it for everyone else. As I am a cantankerous old person, I have assumed that MSV are not interested in running good track days, but that their position of owning many circuits makes them uninterested in any form of customer satisfaction.Baby Blue said:

I went to another track day today which was run by a very good TDO (Gold TRack) and all was well. The customers listened and drove well. There were very few incidents and stoppages. There was a wide range of cars in attendance from a Mosler through to several cars that were barely suitable for being on track. Thanks GTDC for running a great day and restoring my faith in track days. As I am very old, sadly I won't be able to do many more.

Perhaps there is space for a Darby and Joan Trackday for you two?
Lots of nice boiled cabbage at lunchtime and some well placed towels laced with essence d'urine to liven the place up and make it smell like home...
Nice young men will be on hand to buckle you up and undo the seatbelts in each session, too, so you don't waste 15 minutes in the pitlane doing it, grunting and dribbling.

Methuselah rules!

Oi, just because I can understand old gits doesn't mean I am one! I can certainly do my own harness up unless I am in my "racing car". Then I have a "man" to do it for me. Not because I need to, just because I can!
Mind you perhaps that's another value-add service that Melindi can offer to special guests. Calum does the special briefing and Melindi does* the personal crotch-strap doing up service.

- I was going to use the word "performs" but I thought I might be sailing too close to the wind!

Accepting that I have ever increasing short term memory loss, this is one of the funniest posts I have read in a long time. Brilliant.Lots of nice boiled cabbage at lunchtime and some well placed towels laced with essence d'urine to liven the place up and make it smell like home...

Melindi ........ how could you possibly forget ROC's International Man Of Mystery?
Have you finally got your leg over BertBert?
