Picking up my wifes cleaned wedding/engagement rings today, had a nosey about the watchs in The Argyl Arcade Glasgow.

Saw a nice range of watches about the £500 mark but I have forgotton the makers name. It was similar to one that I recognised. I am sure it was Ebiel or something like that

ANy ideas?? The one I liked had a black face, blacsk strap with red markers/numbers on the face.

No not Ebel, I'm sure it was like that though. Ebel is in 6/7 shops there. This brand was only in the 1 shop i think...........

Not Emas like the huuuuge watch that lowdrag is offloading?

(this thread could get very funny, I guess it depends how many people join in with crazy ideas in the morning, and how awake people are on Thurs morn. I'm still working unfortunately, and ran out of humour about 15 hours ago)

Offloaded thank God Cyberface. Are we sure it even starts with "E" OP? This could be a difficult quest! My friend Willie Eckerslyke would like to know the make too.

I used to have a Globe chrono, was a very nice watch, well made, but sadly just too big for me so it had to go.

Personally wouldn't pay £595 for a quartz movement in a steel case with a rubber strap. If I was buying quartz at that sort of price range I'd want some interesting materials - titanium, tungsten, ceramic, aluminium, bone etc.

Apparently you can grow bone from cells now, so if you and your girlfriend are of the gothic variety then you can have rings made of each others' bones without having to cut it out of her / him.

Now a bone watch... that'd be interesting.

£495 online make it any better??

More into the looks/reliability than movements etc

My only other nice watch is a black ceramic Rado, and i like the white ceramic rado that is out at the moment, would probably make me look gay wearing it though(nothing against gays but white is a bitgay eh!)
