Hi guys after selling the 360 which had a Tubi and buying a Gallardo Spyder with a stock exhaust, it just does not sound as great as the 360. So i want to purchase a aftermarket exhaust am i making a wise decission in buying a larini system, or should i buy a different brand. Also im looking at buying a set of 20's for it my choice of alloys are Trafficstar RTS as i think thats the only aftermarket alloys suit a Gallardo. Has anyone got 20's on there Gallardo?

Any advice is appreciated.

Awesome selection of cars, especially for someone your age biggrin What do you do? tongue out

Regarding the car, why not go tubi again? I personally love the sound of the tubi on the gallardo, but then it's down to personal choice! I've heard good things about larini so if you like the sound, go for it! Not sure I'd be changing the alloys but each to their own, have you got any pictures of the wheels (preferably on a G)?

This is the stock exhaust using Larini bypass pipes, IIRC

Was it Larini or Capristo exhausts that were melting the bumpers on Gallardos?

I'm looking at an aftermarket exhaust as well at the moment and thought I would piggyback this thread....
I'm pricing a few diff options and some agents offer removing the cat's completely as part of the instalation. Is this common? Does it cause problems at MOT time? My car is a bit older so wasn't designed to run with cat's so getting rid of them (with minimal problems later) would be a big plus.

Thanks mate. I want more of a F1 sound and personally think larini sounds more like a F1 but thats me just watching youtube clips. So thats why i came on here to see what aftermarket exhaust gallardo owners have on there's. As for the alloys hell yeah i want them i need to be different compared to other Gallardo ownerslaugh
Here is a pic of the wheels i want.

He had a full Larini setup first, but deemed it too loud. He put the OEM backbox back in, and it gave him a perfect mix between sound and noise level

Thats just my cheapo point and shoot sony camera... No external microphones or anything. Was also before getting the Tubi fitted.

For the mount, I had my tripod held in place using the passenger seat hehe

I think you will find your car was designed to run with cats as they have been a required fittment since about 1992/3 I think.

Was surprised the other day to find VOSA doing car checks on a country road near me they tested emissions had cars jacked up the lot!!!
