360 Super Elite with MW2

Given I've dodged the RRoD since the launch, its probably about time to swap out the console (OK, OK, its going to another room as an extender)

I'd thought that the MW2 Elite might fit the bill, but the fecking thing has disappeared to be replaced with the Forza deal. Don't want that, want the MW2 one.

Any links out there?

It will be out there, on 10/11/09 when the game is released. Check your local game emporium. They'll have a pre-order list as supplies are apparently strictly limited. My local gamestation only had 4 Super Elites with Forza, which it sold on day of release.

My understanding is that the MW2 Super Elite is slightly different to the Forza version; in that it will have a limited edition MW2 finish to the console (and possible controllers). I believe that only Game/Gamestation are selling the MW2 Super Elite; with both my local shops telling me that if I haven't pre-ordered one already then there is little or no chance of getting one.

In the end I took the plunge and traded by 20gb device for a Forza Super Elite; and I'm going to trade the copy of Forza against MW2!

Interesting. I went for the FM3 bundle over the MW2 bundle _because_ I didn't want all the game-specific graphics on it..

You can get an regular Elite with 4 games for £200 from somewhere on the high st (can't remember which shop). Sounded pretty good value to me.

I shall wander around some Game stores on my travels, and see if there are any knocking around. Good thinking on the Forza tradein.

Not bothered about the game graphics, but am by the 250Gb drive, as there's no such thing as too much storage

i work for gamestation and as far as i'm aware we're the only UK suppliers to the console along with game

and they're all fully pre-booked the allocation

the alternative is to bring in a usa unit

we've been told to stop taking any more pre-orders for the mw2 box unit...

Remember the Halo 3 special edition which was green with copper traces over the outside, and a green controller? Yuk!
I've actually heard somone say that they're waiting for the MW2 special edition because it'll be worth more in the future! Yeah, ok, 1) If it still works and 2) if you never take it out of the box!
ASDA were also showing the regular elite bundle with 4 games (Inc FM3) and an extra controller for £197, online, but then it showed as sold out. Not sure if they still have that deal, which is a steal.

So you've had an xbox before? This is my 1st

There was another ASDA deal t'other week where you got FIFA 10 + elite 360 for £185 ish. The only reason I didn't go for that one is I was in the middle of moving house. Mind you, the FM3 bundle comes with the 250GB HDD and the extra controller so I don't feel short-changed!

Totally O/T for a second, I saw you were online playing MW on the PS3 last night but I couldn't connect to a game server - got the dreaded "Downloading Game Settings" message and I don't know how to cure it
