Will you still watch F1 - if there is no British GP ?

I know Bernie always likes to drive a hard bargain but if Silverstone refuses to make a loss just so it has the pleasure of hosting the F1 GP will you still follow F1.

The British GP has been crap for years. Monza etc are far better bets. I won;t give up on F1 just because we can't put a decent show on in this country

But it seems a bit of a shame that Silverstone may not keep it when it is among most of the driver's favourite circuits of the year and most of the drivers also say the British GP always has the best fans/support/crowd.

The UK should have two events!

2 champions, several teams, good support.

Hell even an oval event at Rockingham will do.

I would find it incredibly difficult to just ignore it, and Im sure this is exactly what those spineless money grabbing tts know will be the case.

You cant just switch off your love for a sport - I guess the only way to distract yourself would be to begin racing at weekends yourself so you're too busy to notice!

Monza and Brazil are like old dumps compared to Silverstone! There is no comparison and i can guarantee that the Itlains are paying pennies to hold a GP. Bernie is a disgrace and i applaud Mclarens Martin Whitmarsh for saying that all teams will try and do what they can to make sure that there is a British GP next year.

If anything, we should have Silverstone holding the GP and Donnington holding the European Grand prix - Both i gaurantee would be a sell out.

And exactly how do you have any idea what Monza are or are not paying for their GP?

The Teams are weak for agreeing to the Concorde Agreement, and the circuits should be talking to each other to drive down hosting costs and forcing Bernie and CVC to appreciate the real world costs.

As has been mentioned elsewhere the NASCAR model is where F1 should be looking regarding revenue streams, but how can Bernie justify a 7% increase each year on a hosting fee???

You know actually you could be on to something there.... Just the one oval event. It'd be something different (like the night race, a change can introduce interest), probably get more overtaking as well.

Plus if we could get NASCAR to run a round in the morning we'd get to see some rubbish F1 drivers fail at something easy...

Will I still be watching F1 at all this time next year is a more pertinent question for me.
Maybe its me, but I'm getting really quite bored of Formula one now. I've been watching it get more and more dull since 1994. ALL the drivers have the personality of a radish, and most of the racing itself is uninteresting. Which is why I find myself watching more and more BSB WSB and WRC now, because every week you are guaranteed something worth watching. I will always love the sound of an F1 car, but I'm begining to feel thats not enough to keep me interested anymore.

"the rock" would be awesome! and as someone else put, get NASCAR there on the same weekend! I would definately go there.

I don't think Silverstone is the best Track or offers the best racing. I also think it's a flippin expensive day out for the privilege too.

However, Britain is the birthplace of F1. Does Heritage and National Pride mean nothing to people these days?

Donnington would be an awesome track in an f1 car, however I'm glad that it's not going there as th venue could have been ruined.

Silverstone is a boring wasteland of a track in comparison.

Please please please can this mean that the Moto GP stays at Donnington, or goes to Brands, and steers clear of Silverstone? Too late I feel!

Been to Monza twice and Silverstone god knows how many times. Monza is an awesome track and a great place to go and watch. Silverstone is an old airfield

First championship race was at Silverstone. The first GP was in France

I seem to remember something in the terms of the racing licences, that you can't use more than 2 turns of an oval track with an FIA super licence ( I stand to be corrected of course ). That would pee on Rockinghams' cornflakes somewhat, I think.
