I went to the NEC last year and I'm off to London tomorrow...I thought it was a good performance and the ewxotica on show is always worth an afternoon out....although at the NEC last year the show was sharing halls with a Classic car show, it was well worth the visit.....
VIP for tomorrow and front row seats!!! Woohoo!

Well I went last night for the first time and really enjoyed it, if it wasn't for the TG live show though I probably would have done the whole thing in an hour mind you, it isn't that big - i.e. not motorshow big.
But the TG live bit, I thought was really good. It needed a little polishing here and there but given it was the first one and there were some techincal 'issues' going on behind the scenes I was really impressed and would recomend it to anyone; the time just flew by.
Oh and if you have seats right at the front, take some marshmellows for toasting.....

Went to last nights MPH, and have to say a little disappointed. The actual live event was pretty poor, Heavily rehearsed and Clarkson seemed on a mission to offend anyone and everyone (even more so than usual) and still referred to the GT-R as a Datsun. The Stunts were good but once you've seen one indoor figure of 8 with a drift you've seen the entire show. It didnt help that despite being in the "gold" seats we had to watch the display on the screens as you couldn't see the stage (Im 6'2 as well!!!)
On a positive note, there were some sumptuous cars such as the Veyron and the Pagani and a DBR-9 in 2008 Gulf livery. The supercar hall could be done in a hour but then you could easily spend an hour drooling over the Citroen GT!

I went last night and felt the opposite. It was really well organised, we had escorts to and from the show, good up front seats with complementary alcohol and really enjoyed ourselves. Had a walk around the paddock afterwards which allowed us to check out all the vehicles used during the snow. The driver's were truly stunning who clearly possessed some fantastic skills. Cannot mention specifics as it will spoil it for others who are still to go, but personally think I will be going back again next year.

Watch out for the heat from the flames that come up, truly eye watering!
Happily they provide complementary beers and wine in ice buckets to cool you down again!RallyRider said:
