How big a ladder do I need
Discussion
For cleaning gutters, soffits, washing upstairs windows etc. House is 2 storey, around 1 to 2 feet higher ceilings on one floor so i assume a smidge higher than the norm. Gutter same height all way round, no taller bits to reach.
I have room for either in my garage, but apart from storage length is there any benefit to getting a 2 or 3 piece ladder for this type of use?

Ladder should be set a 1ft out for every 4 ft vertical, so you only need 5% more length than vertical. Would recommend a stand-off device at the top.
Two-piece is likely to be a bit more unwieldy to carry around, unlikely to be any more rigid when you climb up. Other features (combination use as a step ladder, ability to use in parts, strength/stiffness of the joints) are probably more important, and probably best to go have a butcher's hook before buying
Use DuPont's link and search "ladder" by price highest-lowest, then shortlist options that provide sufficient height.

Something like this will do you just fine

You can probably find cheaper out there but used this as an example.

I confess myself a little concerned that someone considers a 'ladder', even it must be said, a folding 'ladder' to be 'awesome'.awesome bit of kit...
I'll just go have a quiet lie down with a single malt and mentally rail at the universe.
