Hello all.

Thanks for the recent advice on oil, 150 miles to go and then the engine is run in and I am going to use VR1 from then on.

I wondered if anyone knows where I could get a replacement (not sure what to call it) sprocket?? basically the plastic white thing in the middle of the mechanism.

I think, the sprocket is worn hence the windows struggle to wind up/down.

Any ideas?

Many thanks Liam

Before forking out on new winder gear, check all the seals in the window frame, I changed all mine (parts via Adrian) and it made the windows a lot easier to wind up and down (non electric type).
If the gear is knackered, and you change it, it would still be worthwhile to change the seals as these may have contributed to the winder mech wearing out.

Liam, the drivers one always needed help to go up and down (at least since about 1994!). Best of luck in sorting it.

Thanks David. Would be good to get them working again.

I have had this photo on the mini tvr.m-fix.co.uk site for years to no avail.

I did hear the motor for the windows were from a hornby model train.?
