I'm sure there's a discussion somewhere about this, can't remember what was wrong with it, but at that price it's got to be worth a restoration, or destined to become a racecar?

Knew what I was doing to work on it.

Can anyone find the thread discussing it?

Shall I spend some of my extension money on it ? hehe

Don't forget the 'ono'!
With plate and spiders worth £1k+ if swapped out you easily have a £2.5k Cerb!
Leaving £££ for chassis...

Not that I'm tempted.

Much.

The car is a total dog. The chap bought it from a well known scrap dealer who told him the car was good to go. The chassis has pretty much totally collapsed. It is fair to say it needs a new chassis. The engine is shagged, the electrics will be screwed etc.... I would imagine It is not a cost effective project from what I know. Sadly it is fit for cutting up and selling as parts.

Wow! Maybe now is my time to go RWD! I would hope that if there is anything majorly wrong with it he would mention it in the advert.
I think I will email him!

According to the DVLA website it's been off the road since April 2005 too. Bargain for someone..

When you say the chassis is collapsed is that from rust or previous accident damage or something similar?

Rust! It was neglected and left in a damp situation for a long time without moving.

I shared emails with Adam back in June this year.
He agrees that a garage will want £20K to get it sorted as EVERYTHING is shagged. He knows he got ripped off.
He found the original threads and pics after he bought the car. I will look out the threads.

Wow - I guess someone is either been misled re its condition (which bearing in mind what the prev owner went through would be pretty awful) OR someone has a cunning plan eg use for parts or has the parts to fix it?

Get a dodgey mot for it - sell the plate for £750.
Sell the wheels for £250.
Sell the engine for £2K
Sell the body bits in pieces - £2K ?
Sell seats and other interior bits of a n others project = £250
Well you might make a profit (could one be bothered though).

I looked at it last year (just come out of storage they said). It was pupped! And they wasted £8000. Don't know about the engine or chassis but i would say the electrics are shafted because they power washed it inside to get the mould off!

I am sure this was the much spotted Boscastle Cerbera. This Cerbera was parked outside the owners house without moving for many years and if so explains the extent of the chasis corrosion due to all that salty air.

A crying shame really as the golden yellow bodywork always looked fabulous.
