I've been planning to get a Wedge for a few years now and the time's arrived to start searching for the right one. Came across this one on Fleabay and Pistonheads.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

Seems to be fairly reasonably priced. Just wondered if any of the seasoned owners on this site have come across this one in their travels and knew anything about it. Or of course if anyone has a good 400se for sale or knows someone who has..............??

Thanks in advance for your help

this car caused quite a stir on here when it was advertised for £2k in the PH classified section about a year ago.
i was the 2nd person to contact the owner and got sent quite a few pics and details. i did think for a while i was going to get the bargain of the year (although it did need a fair bit of chassis work - outriggers and some other bits iirc) as the 1st guy to contact him ummed a bit over buying it however he did finally bite the bullet and i was out of luck.

when i saw the ebay ad earlier this week i thought i recognised the reg number and after a bit of checking found it was the same car.

Thanks for your help guys. Emailed the person selling it and he doesn't seem aware of the apparent chassis work it's had done but says it's all good. Must have changed hands in between then? Plenty of receipts apparently for other work.

Any more info or offers appreciated. Cheers

Think that may be Woodies old spoiler, it was on a previous thread that someone wanted to swap the seac spoiler off a car they had recently purchased, for the smaller one.
The red 400se was advertised in the Summer along with a Yellow one by a guy from Lancs area (i think). The present seller may have only had it a couple of months.

Well, the owner appears to be a real enthusiast, has been on PH for quite a while, has spent a lot of money on the car, has used it on a regular basis for its intended purpose, appears to be asking a very fair price for it, and is not a million miles from you.

Seems a pretty good reason to go and have a look...because that's the only way to find out if it meets your needs. smile

Yes I agree, planning to this week. The other one was too far to find out I didnt want it. But any history is worth having. Just trying to find a day where I can see another in a similar direction.
