Hi

Was wondering if anyone had brought one yet....

If so what are they like? Has it broke down yet?

Im currently desperatley saving so I can buy one. I think they are stunning to look at.

Would you recommend people to buy one out of interest?

cheers in advance

There are quite a few people over at Alfa Owner that own them.

Early ones seemed to have alarm problems, squeaking e.t.c, but it appears Alfa have listened to the problems and the new builds have revised parts to stop the squeaking/other problems.

Haven't heard of a single breakdown though!

EDIT: Found this owner review

"As a retired old car nut i only keep my cars for six months then try something new. Its testement to how good the Mito has performed that i have gone 2 months past my norm!
Since picking it up from AMC in march it has not caused any problems what so ever ,Indeed regarding performance and ride quality its got better and better.
No trim has fallen off, No rattles or squeeks, No alarm problems and never needed any oil.
To be fair its never been in a city ,Most of the miles have been to different race meetings or fast trips up north.
Here are the final figs from the Computer,B trip - 7022 miles at a ave consumption of 39.9 and a ave speed of 39mph.
A trip -878 miles at a ave cons of 43.8 mpg and a ave speed of 37 mph.
I have never needed to go back to AMC so i can not comment on what the back up service would have been like.
So all in all a very fine car and has made my time back in an Alfa a fast and fun time!
By the way i have just put the car on Piston heads classifieds if you know anybody who wants one. "

Why would you save for something you've not driven?
Talk about no sex before marriage!

We've covered nearly 4,000 miles in our 1.6Jtdm, it has a torquey little engine which needs to be dynamic mode all the time.
Nothing has fallen off, it's started every time, all the electrics work and so far as I can tell it's not rusty.
The ride on the 17" alloys is very hard and not to most peoples liking and the brakes are softer than my Grand Punto.
Try before you buy, but I'd recommend either the 1.4 Turbo or 1.6 JTDm.

Pop over to http://www.clubmito.com - few owners on there have posted opinions.

Best looking small car by a mile, I've yet to own an Alfa (buying a 156 soon though) but had loads of Lancia's and get totally bored with the has it broken down, has it fallen into a pile of dust yet, all cars break down but there the style of the Mito is spot on, it ould be top of my list for a small car.
