HI all
just a quick line about batteries ?

what type are most people using ???

ive come across "odyssey batteries" which seems the obvious choice if the car is going to be left garaged for a few months

is anyone using them or had any experience with them ????
or have a better alternative ?????

thanks all

I have a delco one at the moment, seems nice but its new. Having said that i also have a new red top on my garage floor that wont turn the engine over if it is disconnected from a charger for more than 30 seconds. POS doesn’t fit in the car without cutting off the top posts and that ruins the battery not unsurprisingly.

Hi Les,

If it's of any help to you I use an optimate battery conditioner / charger whenever my car is in the garage. Always used to use them on cars & bikes in the past and never had a problem with starting after long periods.

thanks for reply

i have got an optimate 3 , but no electric in garage !!

the real plus of the odessey battery is that it holds its charge for 12 months , and still gives more surge than a conventional battery , so it seems the obvious choice for me ??

but i'll have to look first, to find out what i have !!!

thanks guys

never heard of that make, but have never had a problem with the standard Mopar and trickle charger. In general the battery wont last longer than 3 weeks when alarmed without a trickle charger

With the alarm on, my won't turn the engine over if not trickle charged after two weeks. My Ctek charger works a treat on it
