Back in october 1983 a Lamborghini Countach estabilished 12 UK speed records at Millbrook. The car was driven by Alex Postan and Barry Robinson. Does anyone have info, pics, magazines' articles about this particular car? Thank you!

Barry also drove that car in the shoot-out at North Weald with the 911 Turbo and a couple of other cars (can't recall them right now). He and Alex jointly owned the LP5000s with "BR 33" number plate that took part in these events and the car was up for sale a couple of years ago in the Heathrow area. The car sounded like it hadn't been well looked after though and the guy wouldn't provide a price for it.

If you do want to talk to Alex, I can put you in touch with him. I also have the Fast Lane article/s on at least one of those events - I am sure I could scan it/them for you. IIRC the North Weald event features in several books too.

Have you by chance bought the car?

I have some pictures of the Earls Court motor show, with said Countach and a dodgy looking (hand painted?) board on the roof with all of the records listed. I'll try and dig it out and scan it in.

I remember sitting on the bus between Edinburgh and Glasgow reading Fast Lane, and that article in particular, when I were but a spotty yoof. read

which edition was it in? I have some old fast lane but are all in the attic!
Countachman do you have a complete list of all UK articles on the CT? I went through some of my mags a few weeks ago and pulled out mainly the old Car ones. Could you publish or pvt a list of the UK ones you know of? I don't think there is a list anywhere? Joe Sackey in the US seems to have them all and recently scanned quite a few n the Ferrari chat lambo chat forum

I'm just helping my Spanish friend and Lambo addict David, who's looking for info and pics about the car. I'll suggest him to sign in, he may have plenty of material who'd be swapped smile

Greetings to all;

I am 'the' David to which Fausto was referring to. I indeed am sort of investigator about some Lamborghini related subjects which today are mostly forgotten. I would thank PistonHeads members the help providing me visual informations about the UK Countach record breaking car of 1983, if it is not too hard a job for anyone.

Thank you, d.

I'm pretty sure this car was offered for sale in the London area in a pretty poor state.
Someone did post on here that he had been to see it.

Me too, but I can't think where those old 110 photo's would be.

I think Barry robinson had a string of Lambos at that time. All had the BR 33 plate on them.

If I gathered enough visual information, I would attempt an illustration like the one you can find here, I made too, I'd share of course with you all.
