Ok do any of you have a TRUE Prober Phopia not one where you go I don't like it! No I mean prober ones where it makes you throw up and wobbly legged and stiff! Well I never ever believed they existied! I always said they were in your mind and they never existed!
Ok 25 - 30 years ago some hairdresses in Bath cut my hair and I could not be seen in 2 weeks untill it grew. As you know women think alot about their hair and feel they don't feel good unless their hair feels right.
I thought I had got over this - I have found a fantastic hairdresser which I have used for 13 years! She knows me and knows my hair. BUT Our son has has relapsed Luekemia and we have all looked like shaggy dogs for a while as we have not been able to get to her at all. My son has a problem with hairdressers only because he has lost his hair 3 times now and wants it like the young Harry potter. Fine I told him it is only dead hair and it is nothing to worry about so I cut his hair. Then I cut my husbands hair (well he is thinning and has very little left so its easy on a clipper thing. Then it came to me I felt wierd, shaky and ill! No I thought this is stupid and as I said to my son it is only hair. Half way through I felt really ill and had to go outside for some air where I threw up loads! I have never felt so embrassed and shocked in my life! We have been married for 16 years!!! How could I do that! I had a bath and washed my hair and he said he wanted to tidy up the long ends I looked at the scissors my legs went weak and shaky and threw up again! Is this a true Phobia! And how can I deal with it and do you lot have phobias which make you do this!

heights... as in I hate going near windows when Im high up and looking down, looking out of them and im fine, looking down and the world goes all spinny and wobbly....
Same thing happens when I have to wander across the bridge at work (between 2 buildings and lots of glass)....
Only way past this is to look directly ahead and ignore colleagues taking the piss.

Stuff about having a phobia of hair cuts that was hard to read! get some paragraphs!
Thats called Tonsurephobia fyi. I did not know Tonsurephobia exsited and I feel I do not have that, it was maybe a lapse!
Maybe a sniff of sherry will help me!
I've just found out I hate heights!!! I'm staying at my sister's place in Dubai for the weekend & her apartment is on the 29th floor. Every time I go to the balcony for a cigarette, I get an overwhelming urge to jump off - just to see how long it would take to get to the bottom!!
Very, very weird

If you have an urge to jump, then that is NOT a fear of heights!Very, very weird
Touching metal jewellary (sp?), I just cannot do it, I can go near but not touch any earring, ring necklaces etc...... can't explain it! Just can't deal with it, I break out in a sweat and will run from it if someone tries to force me to touch it! Saying that though; I have learnt to 'trust' my girlfriends bracelets that she insists on wearing but thats taken nearly 2 years, god knows what I'm going to do when it comes to popping the question or even wearing a wedding ring
Oh and the older and mankier it is the worse I feel, I have been known to be sick when faced with a particually old grim piece of jewellary (sp?)

being sick, HATE it
i have not been sick since i was 16 and plan to keep it that way!
Funnily enough I thought that about me. I so hate being sick and hated everyone around me being sick as it would make me sick. But when my son became ill the 1st time around I dealt with it. The chemo made him so ill. The antibotic makes him sick every weekend he has to have it, that he now has 2 anti sick meds to help him. But however I cannot deal with adults being ill. I have a problem with it! I don't know whether it is 6 years of dealing with cancer or what but I know a normal sickness bug on us lasts 24 - 48 hours on our son it lasted 3 weeks! So I dread the sickness bug. Plus drunk sick is gross!!! So I could nurse a child not an adult!!! i have not been sick since i was 16 and plan to keep it that way!
