So now advisors get sacked for giving advice that isn't what they want to hear:

Yep it sucks.
What summed up his stance for me was hearing him on Radio4 the other day. He said something along the lines of "tonight, no child will die as a result of smoking cannabis, taking an ecstasy tablet, or taking LSD, but at least one under 18 will die of alcohol poisoning".

I just found it amazing that Her Smithness was still trotting out the same old pap about cannabis being stronger.
Have they not heard of hash? There have been varieties of hash available since the dawn of time that are more powerful than the skunk she keeps bleating on about.
I wish I could find some of this ultra mega knockout skunk

"That’s not even a crystal in a plant pot. That’s impossible. That would require more THC to be present in the plant than the total volume of space taken up by the plant itself. That would require matter to be condensed."
Herbal cannabis can only get so strong, the plant cannot sustain over a given amount of THC production, hence my comment about hash being stronger, as you isolate the THC from the plant to create it.

It is rather sad that our drugs policy should be decided mainly on the basis of hysteria, prejudice and accidents of history.
As the Professor pointed out some banned drugs are less harmful, and less addictive, then the legal ones (alcohol and nicotine).
I wonder if any government would brave enough to have a rational drugs policy.

Home Secretary tries to look decisive and no-nonsense ... but just looks completely feeble and silly. Can't explain why the Prof is wrong, so just sack him instead. What an inadequate little penis he is. Depressing to see the shadow Home Secretary all but backing the incumbent moron.
I'm glad this is such a big story, the goverment has acted completely irrationally, all Prof. Nutt has done is state observed facts. I saw an interview with him in a new clip just now where he notes that the government wants to pretend it is basing its decisions on hard science and the evidence provided by it, but is actually just making a "moral" choice (on behalf of us.. thanks). How it can be immoral to put something in your mouth/lungs/bloodstream by your own choice, I don't know...
