Hi Guys.
I know you looked at the steering on the Ro and said it was mechanically sound. I have now had all four wheels balanced again at a different plcae (Lepsons) including front wheels swapped to rears. There is still slight wheel wobble at around 60 and gentle braking from 60 causes more severe judder.
I think I will be booking in to come and see you soon (possible Headers fitment too). Could it be the brakes? I only had new discs and pads fitted on the front a couple of months back. It's one of those things that just drives you mad because you can't find the cause.
I've heard the AP's don't warp, could it be dodgy pads? I would swear it was the brakes if it wasn't for the slight judder when not under braking. I was told and shown that one of the wheels is buckled, but that's now on the nearside rear, so it can't be that.
Help

Sound like both wheel balance and brakes. When the wheels are removed the brake discs become loose. If ANY dirt or debris drops behind the disc this will cause it to run out of true, so the judder under braking may just be that.

I have the same issue slight wheel judder even when I'm not braking was told I had a worn rack bush not sure if this is causing it something I want to get sorted too so will be interested to find out what it was.
me to ...no issue braking ...wheels balanced ...but do have worn tyres from the rear on the front
... and seams to be getting worsemaxmc2 said:

Unlikely that a worn rack bush would cause judder. Still wants sorting though if it is.

Iave exactly the same on my CV8. I have the AP's all round and from 40-60mph i get terrible steering wheel judder, especially at light braking. Its not so bad if you slam on the anchors, and performance is fine. Its just the judder is a pain in the arse.
spot on same asme letshope it's an easyfix cause it's a pain in the b hindSame problem with mine. The discs had been skimmed when I bought the car and it was fine. 10K later i've got the vibration you describe. I've had the wheels statically balanced which improved things slightly. I've clocked the discs to less than 0.002" (one was 0.006") which also helped, but still hasn't solved the problem. I was going to try dynamically balancing the front wheels next to see if that helps.

how much would this cost to rectify do you think?
Replacement rack required! Ideal time to upgrade to a quick rack, same price

Virtually all brake judder i see is either rust or pad deposits. Skimming will remove it, but unless something changes it will come back. I tend to find thoses who drive their cars hardest are those with the least trouble.
