Hi all,
recently got a slow puncture on the rear of my M5, unfortunately i couldn't get it repaired because there was a slit on the side wall, typical as there was plenty of tread left on the tyre.
The tyres were Dunlop Sport 01 Runflats, so i decided to shop around for a couple of new ones. The prices that were coming back were ridiculous but really wanted to keep the same tyres as the fronts were matching Dunlops too. (Just a bit anal like that).
Anyway went down a local tyre place that i used previously hoping to get some kind of deal... Still they came back with silly money for the Dunlops but they said they had two brand new Pirelli P6 Four Seasons that were the right size and i could have them for £75 each fitted. Result i thought so i've had them fitted today because i really couldnt justify spending over £200 each for tyres at the minute.
Just want to know what you guys think, have i got a good deal on them or are they just crap and thats why they are cheap?... Just need to get some matching ones for the front now and i'll be happy but thats proving difficult as nobody seems to do them in 245/40/18's.
Any help on somewhere that stocks these would be great
Cheers
Andy

Can't remember what rating they are good for 150 mph I remember him saying... Any kind of slight acceleration tends to kick the dsc in though which Im not used to having had pilot sport 2s and the Dunlops! Is this normal or will they wear in.
VAG... If you can get me 2 for the front for £50 I'll have 'em! Crap or not, it's rubber

Well, there you go, seem to have answered your own question. I would personally only want the very best tyres on my car - no point in skimping on this when you have an 1800 kg/400 bhp torque monster to deal with.Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
