Just been trying to lock the Disco ('95 300tdi) and am having issues...

When using the remote to try & lock up, all the lock buttons go down as normal but then the drivers door button pops up, then a couple of seconds later the alarm sounds. It locks ok by using the key in the lock and unlocks fine with the remote. The central locking is working properly from inside the vehicle - ie, the drivers door button locks & unlocks all the doors properly.

Could this be the driver door lock actuator needing tweaked or replaced?

Hi,
I had the same problem on my 95 4 door.
The cure was to move the door lock moter on the drivers door. It is held on by four 5mm bolts - might be 5 I think of them as 10mm as that is the spanner required to move them. We are only talking about moving this element of the Centrel Door Locking (CDL) a mm or two at a time. Outwards towarde the hinge I think was the direction that solved the problem but some experimentation was required. Cock the lock with a screwdriver to simulate closing the door this will make it easier to work upon.
Also check that the tiny hair spring on the door lock is not broken (E-bay about £2) as this operats on an 'over center' system and if it is not 'locking' the CDL will malfunction.

Hope this helps.
Alan
