I know that my original engine covers were not well received, by fellow Ultima owners.... frown

....so I have modified them:-

This is what they started out looking like:-

I just stuck some black perspex and some chrome lettering on myself.

That works well.
No need to go buy new ones when a little DIY gets the job done.

Steve

PS Think it may have been me who criticised the covers.....still, had the desired effect.

Use the Ultima GTR font, and it would look way more convincing.

still wondering that your exhaust system is still looking like new, do you drive the car ?
Or is that due to the paint ? My stainless headers went bronze after heating up the car immediately.
Actually the whole exhaust system is now bronze.

Those look like they have been ceramic coated (Zircotec or Camcoat - Cermakrome).
After 16,000 miles and five years mine are now looking like they need re-doing.

The whole exhaust system was Camcoated.

I have only done about 200 miles in the car so far.

If you want to use the font as used on the Ultima car then its 'Rockwell' italic

Thanks Steve - I have a sticker cutter, so I thought about cutting the lettering from yellow, or maybe chrome vinyl, but I liked the idea of the raised letters.

It's definitely an improvement on "Corvette" !!

Yeah Rockwell Italic, thanks Steve smile Stick with the white colored font, and use the same color as the car for the background strip color (or black if you can't.) That will carry through the look-and-feel, and give it a very factory-looking polish. If you want LS7 on there, keep it as the LS7 font (as-is).
