Has anyone done it?

Are there any key areas to look at and focus on?

I thought the side skirts, sills and the lips of the wheel arches were going to be the main area's.

I paid about £350 last year to have mine waxoyled, that was a place in Morpeth called Wax Works. Monkfish do it but are a bit dearer, but they no doubt do a brilliant job.

There was a thread about this a while ago. Monkfish posted up a pic of what they do when waxoyling a car. I think you'll find that doing it properly is a really big job. Its easy enough to do some of it but there are places you cant get to unless you virtually take the underside apart. Exhaust, suspention, wheels, brakes, i think they drop bumpers as well. The parts for the job are cheap but when mine gets done i'll be handing it over to the experts.

I was thinking about dropping most of the parts. I need to change suspension, the brakes need touching up and roger was saying it may be easier to drop the rear sub frame to change the bushes. Im off work for a few weeks so i was going to do it as a bit of a project. The only bit im unsure about is the fuel tank. Should look good once done though. I tried searching but i was getting errors, something about pistonheads doing maintainence.

Do mine every year - Takes about a day to make a right job of it, and get Waxoyl into every corner. Usually takes about a gallon or 2 of the stuff, depending how much you have to thin it (i.e. how cold it is!)

Well worth going to the trouble, as mine looks like new under after nearly 5 years. It does take a minute or 2 to get all the overspray out of your hair though.....
