I've had my work car (BMW 330d) for about three years now and I'm looking for a change. Have had Beemers for 10 years now (3 and 5 series') and am looking for a change. Went to the Audi showroom and quite liked the A5 Sportback. Anyhow, any views as a business runaround? I'd go for a bigger engine if I buy one.

Get it for a long weekend before deciding, initial drive will make it feel like a nice change, after a couple of weeks you may well regret it, not saying you will but hundreds do.

Regarding the sportback, I really like it, a bit different and a good looking car.

I liked it to start with, but after seeing one in person I've changed my mind, and I keep reading reviews complaing there are issues with the reliability and interior on the a4/a5/q5.

Try out a Mercedes C250 CDI, that would be a good move from a 330D IMO.

Had a look at one recently and was astounded by the size of the boot. I really practical, good looking 4 door coupe inspired saloon. In a few years time I can see one of these replacing our A6.

Hi Steve wavey

I dont 'get' the A5 Sportback. If you want a coupe, buy an A5, if not get an A4 (or even better, as I have just done, buy an s4 wink).

Had a poke around a Sportback in my local dealer last week, woeful lack of room in the back, which for me was important for the Fubelings. All IMO of course smile

Can't say I understand either - it is neither an A4 nor an A5 and doesn't appear to offer an advantage either way because of it!
