Cigars - can I take a few from UK to USA?

As per title.

Am going across to mate's wedding in Hudson, Ohio. I have cigars here that I have been waiting for a time to enjoy, with friends etc.

Can I take them over? Any rules and regs that I need to know about?

Google search throws up loads about taking from Cuba etc.

Pretty sure Cuban ones are illegal even if you are not bringing them directly from Cuba.

Take a nice thick coat...you will be smoking them outside.

Popping outside for a quick cig is one thing, but enjoying a cigar might be difficult.

That depends where you are - not all of the US takes quite such a blanket approach as the 'no smoking in anything with 3 or more walls'. A lot of bars now have seperate smoking rooms. It also depends on the State / County laws. I.e. Indianapolis has a perfectly legal, and also thoroughly enjoyable cigar and martini bar. (Nicky Blaines if anyone is ever passing through).
There are plenty more bars that still allow smoking in them too. Other States do have different rules though, so it might be worth checking first!

I bring them frequently from Honduras and a few other CA countries with no problem. As long as you don't bring crate loads like you are abou to resale them, no problem.
