Weird goings on at Watford Gap

In the early dusk of Saturday night, I pulled up at the grassy knoll next to the building at Watford Gap.

Catching the tail end of a bit of radio, I was still in the car when an Asian gentleman walked past me, stopped at the kerb....

And started peeing on the grassy knoll...

Thinking it in order to give this mucky git a touch of embarrassment, I got out of the car and chucked my sandwich wrapper into the bin next to this scruffbag.

Evening I quipped, but no response. Silly me, we've already had a thread about that, haven't we?

Now for the funny bit...

Our alfresco piddler walked off....

To his car?

No...

To the toilets, to wash his hands...

Call me confused, but that doesn't make a lot of sense...

What's going on there, then..?

So the toilets marked "disabled" that i always assumed were for less able bodied folks are in fact part of a secret Muslim toilet network with a full time cleaner ?

I think you may find it’s a rule about either facing towards or away from Mecca whilst going to the toilet. One is disrespectful, the other not.

If the council have put the public toilets up facing the wrong way to suit the Muslims then they won’t use them.

The cleanliness thing is more to do with not sitting on the toilet seat. I know of at least one employer who has had problems with Muslims insisting on standing on the seat, squatting down and taking a dump. The other workers were complaining of dirty footprints on the seat at best. Often it broke the seat and they usually missed the hole, leaving others to clean up.

The management were then accused of discrimination when they asked all staff to use the facilities with consideration for others. The Muslims demanded all the toilets be rebuilt to their requirements. It ended up with some cubicles having to be rebuilt to suit them. Some of these were in listed buildings and the paperwork and expense to the company was huge.

I once availed myself of a public convenience in Karachi. Less than a second later I changed my mind. No words in English are adequate to describe the horrors I witnessed therein.
