It's a sad story this one. I don't know all the details, but my cousin works for the UN in Vienna and was one of the first people to find him. It wasn't a pretty sight from all accounts.

I didn't realise it was such a big story.

It just seems to be mostly speculation that it was anything other than suicide for this bloke really. I wonder what the details of that new pathology technique for detection of strangling are and how reliable it is.
I don't really understand what the motive would be for offing him in a spy novel style; he most likely just analyzes seismic traces. I suppose it could be that in reality he did something very different of course! I suppose we'll never know.

But, it could be as simple as he was having an affair and the husband found out......
